Adidas to mark Australian Open by putting full-size tennis court on Great Barrier Reef
Adidas has placed a full-size tennis court on the Great Barrier Reef to celebrate the Australian Open
The facility floats about 10 km off the Far North Queensland coast, in the middle of the world's largest coral reef system. This particular reef system inspired Adidas' new line of tennis apparel, made from recycled plastic. At the same time, it's a boost to the brand's public commitment to eliminating plastic waste.
Adidas involved Olympic legends Ian Thorpe and Jessica Fox, as well as fitness star Steph Claire Smith. Celebrities will play a match on a water court.
